I've recently had my ears pierced again (second holes) and was wondering what everyone wore on a daily basis, work & play!

Always wanted to do a second piercing but to afraid.

I like wearing small mismatch earings. Or singles on a daily.

Hi Ledonna, I think you should totally get them pierced, nothing to be afraid of!

I personally love the look of tiny diamond/diamante studs in second or third lobe piercings.

Just don't get the piercing on the top of the ear. A stud there looks like a strange growth on the ear.
There is something to be afraid of...developing a bad allergy to metal. This happened to my sister and a friend when they had ears pierced. Now metal anywhere causes nasty oozing rashes and hives. Do you know how hard it is to find a watch without any metal that touches your skin? Even wearing a watch over a cuff does not help.

Only one hole here. Depends on the occasion and if/what I am wearing for a necklace. From small silver studs to small earrings that are like a hoop but the entire circle dangles, to more dangly earrings. Most are about 1-1/2 inches in length. I have a few pairs of long dangles but they are worn the least.

I've developed a nickel allergy. It really is yucky. I have to get nickel-free jewelry.

Most days I wear simple silver hoops, about one inch in diameter. I don't care for the look of several earrings together. Fine for others, just not for me.

Sorry to hear about the allergy, I guess that means no cheapies... I haven't really had any issues in the way of that surprisingly

Attached is a photo of my everyday wears. I'll have to find some nice studs to go with once I can change my second piercings in a couple of weeks!

For work, I wear a stud with a simple ear jacket. It's small enough to fit dress code standards and different enough to make me happy.

Tiny diamond studs in the second ear piercing for me. Sometimes I change out to very small pearl studs. When I am feeling adventurous-tiny gold hoops.

I have three piercings and I usually do the largest stud on the first hole, medium on the second and so on. To make it look like a pattern. I also like to have fun with them and just mix it up with different styles like flowers ect or even do a double hoop!

I love to wear studded earrings & I feel undresses without these earrings & the best thing about theses earrings are available in silver or gold ranges!!!

I have a second piercing in my right ear. I generally wear either a small diamond stud or a small pearl stud in it.

Have you ever considered having your second hole pierced on your left ear? Or do you prefer the asymmetrical look?

I have no piercings. (My earlobes are perfect, so why ruin them? ) And as I have a nickel allergy, I follow my doctors' advice about not wearing earrings all the time. I do, however, wear earrings for some hours several times a week.

I prefer wearing medium or big earrings. Tiny studs often look fine on others, especially petites, but would "disappear" on me. It is a matter of proportions. When trying small earrings, I have always found that they make my nose and ears look even bigger than they are. Besides, I think small earrings look outright dull on me.

Some of my earrings are coloured stones or metals, and I also have big white pearls. But most are in silver or silver-looking materials. I will happily wear silver earrings for any occasion.

I adore earrings. I wear them every single day for every single activity (except sleep). I have one piercing per ear, which was done when I was quite young. I would like a second set of holes, but as an adult, I admit to fright.

I have a really nice assortment of earrings, including studs and dangles. I don't wear dangles that are longer than the length of my hair. I wear real and synthetic jewels.

Hi Sterling,
I personally love having my second holes pierced now, and plan to go to have my third holes pierced in the near future (perhaps I missed the "piercing train" during my High School years...).

The actually piercings themselves don't hurt much at all, for me the worst part was how loud the "CLICK" was on the gun my piercer used (I guess this varies depending on what system your pierced uses). I would definitely recommend you have your second holes done if you have a love for earrings!

Mon...sorry that I didn't check the thread again and so am late in responding to your query! For years I had only one piercing in each ear, and then maybe five years ago I decided to do a second piercing, in only one ear. I did the one ear intentionally because I wanted something a little edgy. I enjoy the asymmetry.

Thanks Mon!! I really would like to get a second piercing. Where did you get your second piercing? A doctor? The mall? I have walked by those mall booths and I just could not get my ears pierced there.

This is going to sound strange. There is a woman at work that I would trust to do a really good job. She has the eye to place the second piercing perfectly (I have small lobes). She is also really health conscious. I like the fact that she would be as concerned about infections as I would be.

Sterling, I had my second holes done at a place called "Skin Candy" in Australia (super edgy name, I know :p). I do think I will return when I go for the third set as the staff were super friendly and though it may not be the most super sophisticated establishment, I definitely left satisfied

The truth is though, go where you feel most comfortable. I think you should run the idea past your friend at work if you feel like she would do the good job! I look forward to hearing an update!

I shake it up and wear a variety. I have two piercings on left ear and 4 on right.
Here are two pics of my right ear on diff days with diff earrings. Also, I don't normally wear a visible plastic piece on the back of my dangles!

Very nice, very fun! Just wondering if the hoop in your cartilage (on the second photo) is pierced or just a cuff? I've heard they can be a nightmare during the healing process (*insert worried emoji*)

Thank you, Mon. It's a cuff but there is an earring tucked in there kinda under/beside it that is an actual piercing and it's no joke, cartilage piercings can be brutal right there. It took probably a year to heal and even now, certain earrings make it really tender. I think you could wear tiny hoops or studs or mismatched studs in an upper hole and be elegant or quirky and playful.

I am in my early 40s and I have had my piercings a long while but if I didn't, I wouldn't hesitate at my age to get them now!

I think I'll give the cartilage piercing a miss sadly, the healing process seems too much for me... Maybe a cuff is the way to go for me to get the look!
