White and off-white jeans and pants are one of the few things on my VERY specific shopping list this year (I'm not doing much shopping in 2024!).

Although I've been wearing barrel/balloon/horseshoe jeans for 4 years - I'm an early adopter of new denim silhouettes! - I decided I could do with another pair. Trendy white jeans are essentials for me. I now have three barrel pairs that I love. Blue, ecru, and off-white.

A pic in the odd split full length mirror situation in our temporary home for 4 months is all I can manage. Not styled! Just popped them on quickly with what I was wearing to show a client who wants them too.

TTS. Architectural. Comes in two lengths. Rise is not too high. Will fit a curvier and straighter body type. These are the 27 inch inseam. Cropped on me. I'm 5ft 6. They look better on the roomy side. Do not go too tailored, IMO. The white is creamy - not optical white. Super soft. Will probably stretch out a little. Fine in this type of silhouette on a warmer day.

Comes in many blue washes, black, and BROWN!

Bonnie and Suz, and others, I know you are looking at these too. Hope this was helpful. xo

Thanks for modeling yours, Angie! They look great on you. This is one of my all time favorite pants silhouettes—I have more than I can quickly count in both denim, lighter weight cotton and ponte.

I have these on order as well in two different lengths. I was just notified today that one pair will not be arriving til May 3rd!

Very fun! I would like a pair of this style this year, maybe blue jeans. They have been hard to find because I have to hem most pants and don't want to wreck the balloon by hemming. Hopefully the style will be around for a few more years - I am NOT an early adopter

Wow! Based on Everlane's photo, I'd have expected the Everlane Way-High Curve Jeans
to be more like my Everlane Utility Barrel, but yours are much more exaggerated than my barrel jeans. And they look fabulous on you!

Interestingly, when I tried to order these online last month - they gave me a back-ordered April delivery date. When I went to stores last week - there they were! They followed me home.

Thanks for posting this detailed review! I have been looking at this pair for the last couple of weeks and they are on my list to try if the ones I have ordered from Anthropologie do not work out. I think the shorter length is more appropriate for this cut. The longer length might not look so intentional. I wish I was anywhere near an Everlane store.

It's like your famous jodphur jeans were a pebble tossed into a pond and the new ones are a ripple out on the edge, lo these many years later.

Looking great in the temp home! With my stumpy legs, I think this dramatic barrel would not look great, but I'm pretty interested in the Utility Barrel ones mentioned.

Those jeans are awesome--I can totally see how you made space in your wardrobe for them! You wear trendy pants and jeans so well. Living in a temporary situation must be a little trying, but how exciting to renovate your home! We are in the process of interviewing design/build firms for a big renovation ourselves; I'm most concerned about how our neurotic pup is going to fare (we might need some puppy Prozac!).

Jonesy, you are so lovely! Thank you! We have been planning our remodel for 2.5 years. It was fraught with major complications We are finally making progress with a reduced, yet still biggish renovation. Moved out for 4 to 5 months - just two floors down to a smaller unit in the same building. Very convenient! Sam and Jo are doing well, and our temporary accommodation is fab! This looks great, definitely something I would consider. I like white jeans in theory but find them difficult to wear. They scream summer to me, but jeans are usually too hot to wear in the summer, especially if they are heavy enough not to be see through. But this silhouette seems breezy.

Debbie, TRY THE JEANS! Some of my clients in their 70s and 80s are too! They have great potential.

Anchie, I like to cover up in white jeans in the heat and sun. Maybe you will too? It was one of my successful looks in hot Greece in September last year. And my ecru jeans are worn in the Autumn and Winter. Not optical white, IYKWIM. Maybe you'll prefer that option.

They came and they are going back.

Love the shape, they fit me well but would not be versatile - requires tucked or cropped tops with more fitted cut. I do have it but only a few. I semi-tuck some tops like you here, Angie, but it is not my preferred style on me. And definitely would not work with my outwear. They are definitely cool jeans.
