Hi all. I've recently have been on a tight budget for the past 5 months allotting myself a $100 to spend per month on shoes and clothing. After sorting though my old Spring/Summer clothing, I realized that none of those items pleased me anymore due to fit or style and the sad thing is that some of those items still had tags hanging. I was really ashamed of myself and vowed to start with budgeting in the new year.

January, February, and March were fairly easy since I really don't spend that much so I had about $400 to spend by the time April came around. I did purchase a few pairs of much-needed flats (#1-Taryn Rose Devon) since I live off of them these days (my feet have become very fussy that past year). They are so comfortable and cushiony even for my wide feet and I highly recommend these as they are leather.

I'm also trying my hand on minimalist/minimal wear relying on my go-to black and lots of neutrals of white's, greys, and a few colors.( My semi retro look is currently on hold but I can always go back to that).

Meanwhile, I've recently discovered EVERLANE, and they've been getting great reviews in the way they run their business: "Our way: Exceptional quality.Ethical factories. Radical Transparency." They were originally an online store but have recently opened stores in NYC and San Francisco. I tried to stop by the at the NYC store but the lines were out the door, so I ordered online.

#2/3 - Bomber jacket. I've been eyeing this all winter long. I finally bought it and love the roomy comfort for a size small. It's pretty streamlined so not a baggy/saggy jacket. I really like and will definitely come in handy in London/Scotland trip. Definitely keeping.

#4/5 - I really want to like this jacket but at a size small, it looks nothing at all like the ad, maybe because she's tall and I'm petite and the jacket just overwhelms me. Is the length okay on me? I'm tempted to get the XS just to try. What do you think? BTW, Everlane does NOT carry petite sizes.

#6/7 - Boxed linen tee. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Pure comfort and a sofeter linen and the color is to die for. I may have to go back and buy the scoop neck style. Keeping.

#8/9/10 - The Day Glove flats. Instagram was raving about these flats and they definitely feel like gloves putting them on. The soft leather feels good on my toes and feet although I haven't really walked around in them. I wasn't sure about the dusty rose color thinking it would be more natural, but it's a very light pink and I may have to get a darker color. (disregard my bruised legs due to recent bike rides).

They have a large leather shoe collection with some great leather block heels, loafers and mules. They are a bit on the expensive side so am looking at alternate but similar shoes.

Hope you like the reviews. I don't do this often but wanted to share my experience.
