As promised, here are the Everlane jeans I received and one bonus picture.

I’m so confused - I ordered Way High Curve Jeans from Everlane’s (picture #1) but on the tag it’s said Way High Barrel Jeans (#2).

I ordered The Summer Utility Barrel Jeans (#3 & 4) as well. They’re
are a bit too tight, I would need one size up if I want them.
#5 is a different pair I consider - a painter culottes from MaxMara Weekend. The fit is perfect but I’m not sure about the length.

The Max Mara's. The fit IS perfect and I like the length especially with those shoes

Oh, I much prefer the Max Mara ones! Those look amazing on you. I don’t mind the length, but if you’d like a bit more cropped I imagine a little hemming job wouldn’t be expensive.

I prefer the Utility Barrel jean to the Way High jean, but I am a bit confused by the style of the latter. I have several of the Utility barrel jeans, from 3 different years, and they all are quite a slim barrel for lack of a better term, and the ones you showed are not. Plus the regular Utility Barrel has a horizontal seam a few inches below the knee. I couldn't tell on yours whether that seam is actually missing, but it looks like it.

I've got both of these on order in blue, so now I'm wondering if Everlane has changed the design of the Utility Barrel. I so hope not! It certainly isn't reflected in the website photos.

I wouldn't worry about the name of the Way High jean. Everlane has several fits in the Way High jean, and the style you are wearing is definitely a barrel jean. As long as that's what you wanted, I think it's fine.

All that said, I agree with Phoebe. Of the three, I like the Max Mara's the best. They look great on you. The length is fine. And I love those shoes. I'm always looking for a flat with a high vamp. Where did you get those darlings?

They actually all look really good, except you mentioned that #2 was too tight. Confusing labelling too, I guess you can’t be quite sure if you got what you ordered. I think the length on the Max Mara pants look good to my eye, cute matching shoes and it works great with that sweater.

Phoebe, Janet, Kate, Dee - thanks! I’m not surprised that MaxMara is more popular, the cut is classic. Maybe too classic for me, I’m undecided on them.
Kate, these are Everlane’s Day Glove. Not new, bought them last year, my second pair of the Day Glove flats.

(I'm confused too. I'm wearing mine now - DEBUT! - of the Way High Curve Jeans, and the inside tag reads," Way High Barrel Jeans". They look just like the photo. The receipt says "Way High Curve Jeans", with the stock photo pic of Way High Curve Jeans. I think the inside label is an error, although the barrel silhouette is correct!)

Thanks for the pics, Irina! Appreciate that! ALL jeans look stinking fabulous! Especially if you size up in the Utility pair that feels tight. Can't go wrong, IMO, with any of them.

Personally, my faves are #1! The Way High Curve Jeans that I have too. I like the extra drama on you

I agree with Angie and my experience with the tags are the same as yours and Angie. You look great in every pair, so just go with the one you love.

i will return Everlane jeans, just don’t love them enough. More likely I will keep MaxMara. If I want them longer, I can remove the hemming.

They are not exactly jeans, the fabric is soft canvas and pockets like on painters’ jeans. They work with most of my tops.

My favorites are #5 the Max Mara pair. I like the idea of the Everlane pairs but they just seem a smidge off just right, if that makes sense.

Jaime, I know exactly what is off - the hips fit a bit too loosely in Everlane jeans and it throws off the fit. It happens to me often with jeans - my waist is one size up from the hips size. Size 26 would fit hips but I’m wearing 27 to button it comfortably in the photo #1. The second pair fits better but too tight on top. MaxMara fits better although the style is less exciting.

Interesting! I like them all on you, but can see that the MaxMara are easier to work into the closet at the moment. Fit is everything!

I have a theory about the name/ tag issue. I read the reviews on the "Way High Curve" jean and a lot of reviewers complained because they felt it was misnamed because it was not a "curvy" fit. So they were disappointed by it. I suspect they changed the name to try to clarify, though in my mind it muddies things further because the regular or utility barrel pant has a different fit!! So what the heck gives??

Thanks for the shoe info, Irina. Just ordered them in two different sizes. Fingers crossed I'll get a good fit in one or the other.

Love the Max Mara’s on you. The front rise seems slightly off on the Everlanes (which is also the problem I have with their fit.) Glad you’re returning them.

I like all the pants. If you still have the tag from the first, you can compare the UPC code to the code from the Curve pants, and see if they're the same.

I love the drama (as Angie calls it) of the everlane, but I find that sometimes/often it makes it harder to just wear, as it needs more thought and attention vs the simpler leg of the Max Mara

From what I can see from the photos there is a lot of fabric at your hip on the Way High Curves. I agree you want it more fitted waist and hip before it goes for the drama. I have the same exact fit challenge so I know the frustration of the waist fits and the hips are too big… The Max Maras fit you well but not the same effect.

Kate, you are welcome Hope they fit. I got one pair a few years ago and liked the fit and the look. Last year I need a replacement for a worn out pair of stone color flats and ordered these.

BrieN , exactly! I sometimes go with a smaller size to fit hips better and have to manipulate the waist band. As a result of all the challenges, my jeans collection is always small.

Last one looks great as you can wear right now, out of the box. The other 2 looking good-but the barell just too prominent? From the 2 I would keep nr 2-showing some ankle with the shorter length balances the extra drama on your slender(&petite?) frame.

Everlane jeans are on the way back. Sad but these are not the first Everlane jeans I tried and returned. They just do not fit my body type.

Irina, thanks for showing these. I can see how a barrel jean may be in your future, even if these didn't quite fit. I have tried and returned Everlane jeans in the past, too. I haven't given up on them, but I can relate to them being not quite right.

The Max Mara ones looks super fab!
