Someone on my holiday list would like a cashmere sweater dress from Everlane. Do they ever offer % off or free shipping around the holidays? Do things sell out quickly there? Not sure if I should order now or wait a bit for holiday sales (if they even have them?)

No, they don't do sales per say. They will do a code in the mail every once in a while. I just messaged you mine.
They also do a "name your own price" on certain items.
Once they gave out credits to people's accounts for $25-got one of those.

I've ordered from Everlane half a dozen times or so now, and I've only had a credit once. So it's been rare for me at least.

I got a credit once -- but I bought something in their earliest days that was unsatisfactory, got a replacement and also a credit. I have never seen them do sales -- I think their whole business model is not oriented to markdowns.
