Well... I did it!!! It likely won't come for two or so weeks since order fulfillment is likely delayed, but I'm very excited.
I also have a Dyson fan and a cordless vac - both I purchased refurbished from the Dyson ebay store. That meant they were priced lower, and they've both worked a charm - the fan is elegant and effective, and I LOVE my cordless vac.
cherylm - that makes sense the dryer was a better fit for you. Glad you like it! My hair is stick straight and dries pretty quickly, so my goal is to coax some bend and volume into it, and I don't mind fussing with attachments and tools. I also wouldn't use it for travel (especially since I fried my curling iron on my last international trip even with the correct voltage converter!)
marilyn - I bet it was a round brush hot dryer. Even a regular old round brush can get hopelessly tangled in long hair. I'm an old hand with styling tools at this point though, so am not too worried about tangling.
HJ - that's encouraging to hear!!! I'll share any notes once I have time to try it out.
Carla - I highly recommend a Dyson vac! I have hardwood and tile with a few area rugs and it does a very thorough job even with two cats in the house. I actually LIKE to vacuum now, which is something I never thought I'd say. I also have an old upright Dyson which was SUPER powerful and great on carpeted floors, but it was demoted to the closet once I moved into an apartment without carpeting.
