Ever obsessively check a tracking number?

So I ordered some really cool boots just after Christmas. Yesterday they just created the UPS tracking number, but it hasn't made it to UPS yet.
So I still have no idea when I'll get them. I don't even know where they are being shipped from. Luckily I don't chew my fingernails.

Seems like everything has taken longer with the holidays and then the bad weather.

I do this all the time when I'm waiting eagerly for something. It's super frustrating though. The package will start somewhere like Phoenix, then go somewhere like Tennessee (passing over/through Albuquerque) and then come back to Albuquerque. It makes me crazy sometimes to watch how packages are shipped.

I ordered pewter Seychelles Lucky Penny from Zappos. They were to be delivered 12/31. I kept checking checking checking. My husband called and said they were closing the office early. UPS tried to deliver it but couldn't! So I didn't get them until yesterday (1/2).

And it turns out the pewter is actually quite silver. Not quite sure about them.

I recently had an Amazon order get lost - hung up in KY and never moved from there - so I check all the time now. I currently have a BR order from just after Christmas that's coming FedEx and has been stalled in MA since Monday, hopefully they've handed it over to the post office and it'll be delivered today, the expected delivery date.
Seems like both UPS and FedEx are being extremely slow this holiday season. Frustrating!

Oh sure - I love get my packages and can't stand it when I get the e mail that it's been shipped, but no tracking info is available yet!

That is exactly what I was doing just moments ago before popping over here. I've been checking daily for the last couple of days. My favorite update is the one that reads "on vehicle for delivery."

Can't wait to see the boots!

Yes indeed. I've also signed up for UPS MyChoice, or whatever it's called. It emails me a delivery heads up and changes to delivery time or date. Also emails me when a package is delivered!

Yes. And it's especially annoying when USPS does that thing where the package is totally lost for days and then KAZING it's out for delivery and whoops I'm not home. Or what it's doing now, which is saying my package is "out for delivery" ...and the mail's already been delivered.

Yes, I've been doing this for the last two days. I ordered one of the Lands End puffers Angie posted about...in black because the navy was sold out. Now they have it in my color so I'm exchanging and waiting to get the color I was so excited about. Hope everyone's packages arrive soon!

Yup. I do too, especially when it is something that I am really looking forward to. Have you considered signing up for UPS's notice service (they call it my choice or something like that)? It gives you email updates as things process through the system. It actually drives me bonkers, but I haven't un-signed for it yet either. 'Cause I gotta know where my stuff is.

Actually I rarely obsess over packages. Sometimes I forget to check. Thanks goodness the people at my local UPS store where I receive packages are really nice and never charge me storage fees.
I just had hopes I'd get it soon. I wanted to wear them to a party on Saturday. Guess I'll have to come up with another outfit.

I usually forget to notice unless it's something that is time sensitive (like the Jcrew order that did not arrive on Christmas Eve) or it's been an unusually long time and I was planning to wear it for a particular occasion.

Yup! I'm also pretty obsessive because some of the temp/new drivers lie and say they attempted delivery or delivered. A number of years ago when I was remodeling my kitchen, that's what happened to my faucet and I had to pay a ton more to order from a different place because the non-delivered one was the last one. And some driver this year said a delivery was attempted when DH and I were home and eating lunch near the front door. Yeah, right; it was hours before my regular UPS ever gets to my place even on a light day.
