The first semi-final was yesterday. I realize that most of you didn't watch it, but feel free to comment on the participants' clothes Oh, and photos in the official gallery aren't labeled, grr:

My opinion:
1. Moldova: I didn't like the song. The outfits weren't terrific either.

2. Russia: the song was hilarious and somehow I liked it. The idea of wearing normal clothes instead of typical Eurovision glamour was nice too.

3. Estonia: blah. Neither I loved nor hated.

4. Slovakia: it looked just like the Ukrainian 2004 winner. I don't like copycats and the song was the "I think I've heard it before" kind. I didn't really like the outfits.

5. Finland: the song was nice and I wish it had made it to the final instead of Moldova. There was something fresh and happy about their clothes:

6. Latvia: I wasn't thrilled. The singer's outfit was trendy, but I didn't like it at all.

7. Serbia: I laughed. It was so funny that it was good. And yes, the singer is male.

8. Bosnia & Herzegovina: I like rock music, so I'm a bit biased. The song was OK, but my favourite thing were the outfits. Neither boring nor too weird.

9. Poland: the song sucked and it still sucks. I hated it and I was very happy that it didn't make it to the final. I might be not very patriotic, but it's true. I hated the pseudo-folk outfits and the girl with an apple is a terrible crime against bra-fitting.

10. Belgium: I think that the guy sings like James Blunt and my mum thinks that he sings like Bryan Adams. My sister loved him. There was nothing pretentious about the show.

11. Malta: Eurovision standard. The singer had a very nice dress, but those wing-like contraptions were awful.

12. Albania: I couldn't believe that the singer is only 30. She looked like a 50-year old desperately trying to be younger. I didn't really like the song.

13. Greece: I don't get it. Just don't get it. I thought the boysbands were popular in 90's...?

14. Portugal: my favourite outfit so far. The singer looked beautiful, her voice was divine and her dress was simple and gorgeous.

15. F.Y.R. of Macedonia: ehhh... I didn't really listen to the song, because I was watching what were the strippers doing. It was cheap and disgusting.

16. Belarus: nice, easy to listen, but not oustanding. The outfits were kitschy and the idea of three girls, each with different hair colour and different dress colour wasn't very creative.

17. Iceland: another typical Eurovision song. I liked the singer's hair and dress, she looked very nice.

The 2nd semi-final is tomorrow. I can't wait to see more outfits and hear more songs
