I am visiting Eastern Europe and noticing some interesting fashion trends here. Thought I should share.
#1. Not sure how to call these, a type of "tractor / schoolgirl uniform" big shoes.
#2. Flared skirt (to use with #1 shoes).
#3-#5. Patterned/lace tights - loving this one, getting one of each!
#6. Chameleon (light reflecting) umbrella. Made me think of an umbrella as a fashion statement for the first time.
#7. Saving the best for last - eyelash extensions. Definitely new to me, but looks really tempting.
Which of these would you use?

Fake eyelashes are all over Maryland right now, usually black, even on women whose real eyelashes are blond.

I love those shoes - they remind me of shoes I wore years ago only mine laced up.

I definitely would go for the patterned hose/tights!

Not so much for the lash extensions. Since dealing with a bout of an eye irritation/dry eye, I have read a great deal about problems with lash extensions and eye health. It was not pretty!

Your trip sounds exciting.

#1 is soooooo '90s. I had a pair like that in 1996.

I have a fun capsule of umbrellas that work with my outfits because I live in Seattle

I LOVE pretty patterned hose so I'm in for #3.

False lashes are a big thing in the US too - been trending for about 5 years. I have extremely long lashes, so falsies are unappealing.

The platform loafers definitely remind me of the 90s! Little skater skirts like #2 were quite big among college and high school students in my region a couple years ago, but I haven't seen them recently. Skirts and dresses seem to have taken a backseat to playsuits and jumpsuits among the younger crowd.

I'd wear any and all of the colorful/patterned tights! And I have two umbrellas: one silver for sun protection and a navy/white striped one bought while traveling. I suppose the silver one could be thought of as fashiony but really it's just gearish.

I could never do false lashes -- I can't imagine my sensitive eyes would tolerate the adhesive as I can barely wear mascara. I have pretty long dark lashes anyway, so it's not something I worry about.

Patterned hose and tights, YES!!! Eye lash extensions have been very popular in my area for a while and growing in popularity.

I am an Eastern European although I live in Canada
Bought black on black leopard tights recently. Also, bought a traditional leopard print umbrella. There is a pattern here, see? so, check and check. I had eyelash extensions probably 8 years ago. Enjoyed it but found hard to maintain. Also, my style preferences changed, don’t care for a “fake” look anymore. It is still popular in Toronto among 20+ crowd but don’t see on the girls in the office.

I really like the patterned /textured hose . I remember those in the late 70’s and early 80’s , they were my favorite thing to buy.

Eyelashes I have worn off and on since the 70’s . The strip lashes are my go to because they are easy and quick for me .
Absolutely everything comes back in style it seems ! I guess it never really goes away .

Platform loafers always appeal to me. I also like patterned and lacey stockings. False eyelashes are something I never tried nor do I find tempting although I know they are very popular.

Yes, it's like 90s are back here. I wore similar shoes and skirts as a teenager, but wouldn't try now.

Here is one more trend that I find a bit "spicy" - henna painted eyebrows (offered at every salon along with lash extensions). I'm guessing this one came from the East. Would anyone dare?

Fashion umbrellas are beautiful, I think those are my favourites. I do like patterned hose on others but not on me. I don't really know why, but I always feel a bit self conscious when wearing them. I do have micro fishnets that I like to wear, so a subtle pattern seems to be best for me.

I love the loafers, and purchased a similar pair late summer, but alas while I thought I could handle the heel height - I often can if my foot is enclosed - they didn't work out. The Clark's are a more refined version, which is what I'd be looking for. I'd anticipated wearing them with the ponte trousers (which I love, have in blue and see are back in stock in black in my size, these are fantastic trousers!), cropped jeans for a more casual look, and with skirts and dresses in the winter with tights.

Interesting! I would do any of these except the eyelashes. In fact I have a skirt just like that although I haven't worn it in a while.

I'm curious about these pictures and trends...they strike me as quite junior , but that could be the demographic you're interested in and what you notice. It will be interesting to see if patterned hose becomes more prevalent in the market here - other than for 4thQ/holiday. I've tried eyelash extensions a few times over the years - they are fun, but super high-maintenance and at the end of the day....fake looking

I like the umbrella. I have a missoni umbrella in chevron and it’s definitely a fashion accessory.

I’ve tried pattern tights but I don’t think they are for me. Something about the busyness of them bothers me.

Love the Brooke Shields-esque eyebrows.

I like the lace tights in #3 or #5 or a great umbrella and will skip the lash extensions and short skirt this time around.

Will skip 1 and 2, already have patterned (tone on tone) tights, like the idea of a light reflecting umbrella (though never carry one), and afraid to put on false eyelashes! Glue of any sort near the eye seems like a bad idea-says the woman who often has superglue on fingers from craft projects...

Well, I have to add that I wear patterned tights under the crop trousers or jeans. I run cold and wear pantyhose or tights in colder months. Means from now to probably May the patterned tights is my version of fun socks with oxfords.

I really like th idea of patterned hosiery, I would like to try it next year. I love the look of false lashes, but am too lazy to apply them. Also it’d be nice to have a cute umbrella but I’m forever losing them so best I don’t invest... hehe that rhymed.

I did a couple of these when I was young, but I’m general I’m with LisaP on these items. I like a pretty umbrella though. I think I have one pair of patterned tights but never wear them — in general I’d rather wear a patterned dress and keep the hosiery simple.

Tights are also my favorite, I went a bit overboard with them (also really cheap here), but as taylor said, they might be more fun to buy then to wear.

Just a clarification about the lashes - it's a semi-permanent salon procedure, not to be confused with the false ones you can apply yourself. Not sure how long they last though.

Flared skirt, however I prefer a little bit longer than that one! And probably I would go for a different color, like brown or grey. And nr 7, eyelash extensions.

So I did get the extensions after all, and they look great, but not easy to manage as I need to not touch the eyelashes with anything. That includes eye creams, make-up, swimming pool or touching the pillow when sleeping. Even washing my face in the morning is tricky. Also they fall out (obviously) one by one, sometimes getting in the eye, that hurts! But what won't we do for beauty, right?

Also got 3 umbrellas and around 8 pairs of tights :D.
