Euro shoe websites?

Shana's tantalizing post about German fashion, with cream slouchy boots and rows and rows of oxfords with perfect heel heights made me wonder: does anyone know of any websites that sell Euro shoes, where we might actually be able to buy these fab shoes?

The only one I can think of is topshop.com.

We don't have much, we don't buy online as much as you do.

Believe me Laura, I have gone down this road MANY times. Euro shops seldom have sites and it’s hard to ship to the US. And there is seldom a return policy. But perhaps someone will be able to enlighten us?

Angie, you and me both. We have friends in Hamburg who are coming here in October. I had the desperate thought that I should ask them to buy some shoes and bring them. But they are not shopping type of people so I would be kind-of embarrassed ... ugh ...

I hear you Laura. It's very annoying indeed. The problem is that in Europe we just don't have anything like Zappos or Endless (at least not that I know of). AND most clothing & shoe stores/brands still don't have an on-line shop either (wish that would change!). Some brands (like Esprit) do have some shoes on there site, but pickings are slim. And if you want a real feel for what's out there, you'll still have to come and see for yourself I'm afraid (please do!-)

This is great info ladies. I’ll have to once again go through things with a fine tooth comb. I remember most of these sites (and the brick and mortar stores), but the bad return policy stopped me in my tracks. I need to be able to return shoes if I buy online because my feet are fussy. Also, shipping shoes back to Europe is costly. No free shipping. *sigh*

The trick is to get reliable info from someone who has actually tried on the shoes and then going for it. Never say never!

Laura, I have no ideas but maybe I can squeeze you into my suitcase next time???? The funny thing is that those cream boots I showed were from a fairly inexpensive store - I think each pair was only about 60 euros (so yes, they were some kind of synthetic) but they were sooooo comfy. So much comfier than cheap shoes that you get here.

Thank you so much everyone! It will be fun to browse through your suggestions. Angie's idea of having someone try the shoes on in person first sounds key ... maybe we will get the YLF Euro ladies in on our plot to become undercover importers of chic European footwear to a desperately-in-need-of-chic-footwear America.
