It *is* actually a grotesquerie that corporations go on forever IMO. Way back at their inception, they were suppose to have a limited lifespan, whereupon the owners became personally liable again.
I feel very vague about how labour unions in the US became so weakened. I see all the recent things, yes, but what happened to my dad’s union? That was back in the late 80s. I suppose I should just ask my mom, an economist. Another side comment... when I was working multinationals, so so interesting to see the same company accommodate European labour law, which is so much stronger, and leave the American-side to go hang...
