Equipment blouses

Yesterday at Neiman Marcus I had a chance to go through the Equipment line. I have loved their silk blouses but haven't yet bought. When I tried them on they were incredibly loooooong. Like to my upper thigh.

Has anyone worn these and please tell me why they are so darned long. Sort of a deal breaker for me. Though the fabric probably would tuck fine, I'm thinking it might look bunchy under white pants, thinner fabrics.

I have the same problem with Equipment, perhaps because I'm fairly short (5'3"). I have the same problem with lots of brands today. Are you short?

I wear them but style them as tunics over leggings or under a short over layer.

Most of the shirts are the same style, but they do have a few other styles that you could check out. I have one that is definitely on the shorter side. Got it from a consignment store, though, so I don't know the style name.

I also have a sleeveless one that is truly a tunic, long enough to wear as a dress on me. Love it, and it is indestructible.

They come in several lengths, so by all means try a shorter style.

The Signature style does run pretty long. Is that what you tried on? The Brett style runs shorter, and doesn't have the pocket flaps, so it's great for layering and tucks in well. I find that the pocket flaps on the Signature blouses sometimes show under thinner sweaters, but I like that style worn on it's own.

Parsley I tried on the "slim signature" I think. I didn't know about the other styles because just hadn't seen them on the racks or maybe I flipped past them for not being the "right" color.

I think I have the Brett style in two colors and they're not long at all. I am 5'5". I have another one with a button placket (doesn't button all the way down) and that one's not long either. I wear all of them tucked in to dress slacks for work.

I am also 5'3". I own two; the first is pretty long, not so much the second. I don't care so much about length, but the long arms on the first one bug me. Glad to see they have varying lengths because I'd also assumed they're all like that, and I do like their shirts.
