Oh no! SNL doesn't have it on their site but if you google "SNL skit josh Hutcherson Josie" it should come up. And post a better link if you find one, please!

Do you hate me if I say it doesn't really hit home? I mean the ditty is catchy but . . . I dunno, maybe I was too Metallica in the 80's? I mean, Ride The Lightning was EPIC when I was a teenager in the Bay Area. http://vimeo.com/8642273

That was fun, I watched it twice. My 80s was also a bit darker Mo, featuring Depeche Mode, the Cure etc, but I also love those old cheesy songs that are actually a bit before my time. I think it's fake nostalgia for something I never had.

Yeah, I was a bit of a sourpuss in the 80's. Hated the neon and Howard Jones and Madonna. Depeche Mode was too superfluous. I clearly remember moving into an apartment in my very early 20's and 'battling' my roommate with Black Sabbath vs her Depeche Mode. Oh, the days . . .

LOLing at Black Sabbath vs. Depeche Mode. I was a BS fan in high school and DM fan in college (although neither one was my absolute favorite band -- early in high school I was into Rush, Led Zeppelin, Heart, etc. and then later more into Bowie, the Police, U2...), so I just cannot compare them in my mind. But yeah, my 80s were more Echo and the Bunnymen, the Smiths, and Siouxsie than this.

Still, the skit cracked me up. Oh, his hair. One of my boyfriends in my freshman year of college had that hair -- he looked a lot like Andy Summers from the Police. *sigh* Memories...

YES. I saw it a few weeks ago - Greg sent it to me - and I sent it to Inge. I did not know the song actually. I listened to British music in the '80s, and moved onto American music in the early '90s. It was a fun skit though. Laughed and laughed.

Well, the 80s had a number of angles. There was girl groups, Joan Jett, Madonna, Then there's ABS, Depeche Mode, Spandau Ballet, British bands and all of the MTV video groups (Duran Duran!). Of course the big heavy metal hair bands, and punk like the Ramones and the Specials. Classics like Tom Petty and the Police. And then newbie rock bands like U2 and REM also were high school music for me - saw them both on their first tours. I certainly KNEW all of the songs that were more pop-alicious, like this one!
