So the temperatures are under 0C, the lake is freezing and so are my toes. Time to pack away skirts and dresses and those too thin jackets and slacks and shoes.

SO, this leads to the end of season analysis for me...I will continue to wear some of the warmer outfits into winter, especially since I don't feel quite 'wintery' yet.

Pictures are collages of the favorite 'keep' outfits from fall. This is 20 of the 23. My colors were fall nature, trees, leaves, and berries based mostly on black and brown.

One discovery, I am soooo over brown. I did a long period of brown before and I feel an aversion now that seems hard to get by. I will keep my items anyway (there are 3) and hope I will get over it next year.

Most of my other outfits are mix and match of the items you see here. I only have 1 new item not shown. I started getting out of the habit of taking the morning picture. Kinda miss it and comparing what I thought I looked like with the facts

Anyway, most outfits have been used 3 times, and the items on average 6 times. This is over 3 months. I used 41 items of which 17 were new this year (that is 30%). I have another, wow, 15 items orphaned which will be evaluated at the beginning of next fall. I prefer not to purge too quickly anymore. Sometimes things end up being styled in new ways, ja know?

23 outfits seems to few, as I mentioned yesterday, because too many basic items are reused and I find it difficult not to reuse the items in the same week. I think this is a lesson that minimal is not for me. I don't think the numbers are necessarily wrong, but if those 15 orphans were items I wanted to wear, I would probably be better off. They give the perfect opportunity for one in one out next year, huh?

As to my style, looking at the pictures I feel edgy is definitely represented in both dress outfits and slacks. Happiness is over the top! I also feel the colors (other than brown) and the individual pieces make me happy. I don't imagine I will change the colors out next year.

Now that I discovered cashmere (wonderful non itchy stuff!) I am very tempted to add a few more sweaters. This is a new style I never could have tried before. But I have to avoid hoarding on this. So far I have 2. Maybe 2 more would be nice? Blue for spring, wine for next fall? We will see!

Anyway, I really feel this year is the continuation of last year and my second season of the same style and colors. That I didn't get bored or do a total change out is a relief. I was a little afraid I was shopping addicted and could not settle on one style. This helps the budget portion of the equation.

Anyway, thanks for following my journey. I posted a fall planning thread awhile back and am now going to find it and compare to what I said. Should be, for me, an interesting read!

Thanks so much for the help. I would never have gotten this far without you all.
