Ok guys, I either need to be brought up short right now or egged on with a vengeance - I have a shopping bug and a list of things I want to get, and you need to let me know whether I've totally lost my mind.

I'll just cut straight to the chase and post the 4 things I'm thinking of alongside the questions I have for each one.

1. All the Munro Abby love on the forum has persuaded me that these may well be a great addition to my wardrobe, since I run warm and these could theoretically be 2.5-season shoes for me. My remaining questions have to do with colour. What is the "golden taupe" shade like? Is it more gold? Because if so that sounds totally great and versatile and fun. But is it?

2. With the exception of a red pencil skirt, every one of my summer bottoms is neutrally toned. A colourful one would be such fun, would it not? Like perhaps these in either the Blue Mazerene or the Coral Spice? Which one would you recommend, and where exactly does the hem hit?

Ok here is my take.
1. On the monitor the color is a little hard to describe. they do look gold but look like they have have some black streaks in them. I think they could be very versatile.

2. I like the coral color and think these are a great summer option. They hit mid calf.

3. A basic black top that does not look sheer. I think this should go of the definite list.

4. A light blue and it looks let peach floral print. Very pretty. Could be worn with jeans, black and white pants. I would put this on the definite list to.

I can't link to the dress but the sandals are very pretty.

This is going to be fun as we are all going to describe the same things a little differently.
1) golden taupe is a peachy, shimmery, mildly distressed finish, not texturally, but visually, has a kind of almost metallic look. The finish is not as uniform as your rose gold coach bag. They're pretty and they look interesting too but they're not crazy looking or wild.

2) hem hits mid calf measuring from the top of the knee, I like both colors, the intense shade of blue might be easier to match with your wardrobe?

3)The description says the top is shown with a base layer that's sold separately so I'm going with, yes, it's probably pretty sheer. In one of the images there's a portion of fabric we can see through. Also very pretty, nice choice MIchelle.

4) mostly light blue and peach on a black background. Modern floral with some flowers and lots of feathery leaves. Fresh looking, very versatile dress up or down.

I cannot see the two last items because they are unavailable, but...
#1 I haven't seen IRL but they seem a bit golden . They look very versatile.
#2 the blue ones seem cobalt to me, not that that is a bad thing, just mentioning it. What would be easier to pair with your current tops cobalt or coral ? I guess this year is more about coral bottoms but they both look nice.
#3 this doesn't look sheer but in my opinion it misses something.
#4 all over floral print in shades of light blue , light coral ,and brown in my screen. You could wear it with jeans and maybe with #2 if you buy the coral ones.

If my screen doesn't lie about the colors you could actually have a ready outfit with #1,#2 and #4.

1. Munro Abby: Who knows why they call it Golden Taupe; it is a uniformly crackled metallic gold. I ordered and returned this color because I didn't love the sandal $200 worth which was nearly the cost with my high sales tax.

2. Sometimes Nordstrom's Coral Spice is rather a dull dusty color, so my vote is for Blue Mazarine because I know that blue is a really nice color on you.

3. Cute top, but I can't comment on sheerness or quality.

4. From the photo, it looks like the blue is a bit cool so it would go with whatever goes with a lavender leaning blue. My coloring is too warm for that shade so I won't advise.

5. I own that Munro sandal as shown with the orchid strap. I think it is very pretty and the orchid goes with a lot of my wardrobe. The slight flex in the sole bothers me after awhile because I need inflexible soles due to my hallux rigidus, but basically this sandal is darn comfortable and flattering on my flat feet.

So let me get this straight: the sandals are gold and the second top is a go. Angie recommended the pants as well, so I'm highly tempted. Am I right that the blue mazereen is basically a cobalt? Is the coral spice exactly as it sounds or is it a variation on the coral theme?
Celia, what's lacking for you about this black tunic? Has anyone seen another one they'd recommend more?

I think the gold Abby sandals are a great choice for you.
The coral spice color of the pants looks like very muted light coral color on my screen. Actually it should look very well with the Lucky Brand blouse which is in a similarly soft colors. They will also look great with white but I am not sure about black or bright saturated colors you wear so well. On the other hand the blue pants should work with white, black and other bright colors. They may also look good with the Lucky Brand blouse because it has some soft blue in it. So I think your decision should depend on how many soft colors compared to saturated colors you have in your closet.

Yes, the print blouse will be beautiful on you. The colours are lovely and as Debbie has said it will look good with black, white, or denim. The only possible downside is that it's cotton, so it will likely need some ironing. Are you ok with that ?

The colour of the blue pants is not quite as intense as cobalt, but definitely brighter than navy. The coral looks like a true coral colour on my monitor - not too bright, not too pink. Which tops do you have in mind to wear with these? Maybe that will help you make up your mind on the colour.

As for the black top, do you mind wearing a tank or cami underneath if it is sheer? I know you run warm. Otherwise it looks like a nice basic piece.

Michelle, I happened to admire the Munro sandals on someone just yesterday and thought the gold was really nice. They were a muted, almost a distressed gold rather than a uniform GOLD gold, if you get what I mean.

I saw the Monroe Abby's in the golden taupe when I was at Nordies in Ottawa and thought they were gorgeous. An interesting neutral, or a toned down metallic. They are not in my colour palette, or I would have been very very tempted.

I bought them in black. I did find the sizing a bit off. I'm normally an 8.5-9, more often 9, medium width. In these I ended up with a 9.5 narrow. i have no idea if this is something others have found or not, just be warned. They are amazing sandals though. Very comfortable. I did not need more black sandals, but bought them because I realized I'd actually found "all day" sandals that were dressy. They are the ones I wear if I know I have to walk to meetings.

FWIW, I have a low volume foot with a wide forefoot, shortish toes, and narrow heels. My basic size is 6.5W, but I sometimes size down in a sandal and size up in a heel. In both Munro sandals I take 6.5W.

Maybe I am being supper picky with the black blouse. It is a basic black blouse, maybe a littlr more than basic because it has a nice drape. I don't know what kind of magic tricks I expect a black blouse to do. If you are going to order things from Nordstrom anyway I say give it a try.

Michelle, I lost my first post on this thread. Do you have enough information on these pieces?
The Munro Abbey shoes look like mostly a warm tan with some streaks of taupe/grey and some brighter fellow-gold color on the top part of the foot. These are not a metallic gold.
For the bottoms in #2, I like both colors. The blue mazarine is a deep cobalt and seems dressier than coral spice, a summery bright medium coral. The pant legs narrow some and end at mid calf on the model. The model is shown wearing a white heeled sandal with the coral and medium brown heeled sandals with the blue for styling. I think a light color shoe is needed with the coral spice and about any color could be worn with the blue.
The black top doesn't look sheer at all but one of the reviews mentions sheerness. I like the way the bottom of this top flares out a bit. It is long ( hits below the model's crotch in front and below her hips in back) and worn untucked. The sides curve up to near the waist, so that just the front and back are long.
I love the pattern and colors of the top in #4. The pattern is basically a floral on cream background, but not much background shows. There are some tulip type flowers but much of the design is leaves. The patterns are mostly black outlines of the flowers and leaves with irregular blotches of color...soft medium blue and pinkish tan. The blue in the top is a faded denim color and the top is shown with a medium wash blue jeans. It would also work with a caramel colored bottom. It is shown worn untucked.
I can't see the dress but the last sandals look comfortable and casual.

The floral blouse was no longer available in my size! *sob* I'm willing to stock it short-term in case it comes back, as it sounds perfect for me. Black tunic was also not available in my size, but I'm less fussed about that. Surely to god I can find a texture-rich black tunic locally.
