Emotions or reason?

I lost a lot of weight when my boy was sick and never got it back. I don't know if This happens with you but one should think that I would go for fitted items, but no, I'm all about volume.
This got me thinking, Am I making the right decisions?
I know the grey jacket looks good (I would prefer to size up, but it was the last
Number in the store - massimo dutti sales), but I felt in love with the cape.
The jacket looks professional, good proportions, but I don't love it, the cape is big, it makes me Big And shorter, but it makes me smile.
So, should I follow my heart or my head?

Rute, it's tough when someone we love is sick. I'm glad you are finding time to pamper yourself a bit, it's necessary! That said, unless an item makes you look horrendous( which would be tough, you are such a beautiful woman) I would say go with your heart. The jacket looks great I have to say. But I love the cape( talked myself out of buying it myself!) and worn well, which you will, it will totally rock on you! ALready I think it looks fab the way you styled it, really. AND if it makes you smile that's just more reason. Go with your gut sister, you've got great style instinct.

Wow, I think the cape looks great, but I am not the best at judging fit. Maybe it shortens the body, but I don't think it makes you look big. It looks fashionably oversized to me. Sorry times have been tough, I would go with your gut and but what makes you happy. You seem generally to make smart, thought-out shopping decisions so why not have some fun?

I love the cape, and yes, I want to smile when I choose something. My style word, easy...the y stands for Yes! I want to have that feeling of loving something, of just feeling right about it emotionally.

Darling, Rute. It's excellent news that your boy is healthy again. And you look beautiful no matter what.

You've been wearing fitted silhouettes for a LONG time (you've been with YLF for about 6 years), so I guess your style persona feels like a change - no matter how your body has changed.

I've found that I like to change things up too, and wear tailored, fluid and oversized pieces. Both the grey and caramel pieces look killer. There is room for both in your style. xo

I like both. The jacket looks really good. I think the cape looks oversized but it doesn't make you look big. It looks really good too. If you are only going to keep one, follow your heart.

I think they both look good.
"Heart" is right if you don't really NEED the gray jacket to get dressed. It can be a great thing to branch out and try something new rather than piling up more depth in the same old silhouettes. Or get both if you need them, and can.
I'm trying to do better about adding that slight twist or fresh look, and
having enough but not too many of each type of thing.
How does the cape go on & off and fasten?

Definitely heart. The cape looks bigger than the grey jacket but YOU don't look bigger in it.
