Does anyone know how Eliza J dresses fit? I was interested in the navy sleeved one in Angie's picks, but my size was sold out. My husband wanted me to try this lace one. Sorry I can't make a find. My computer is on the fritz. Link instead:

Thanks Angie. The sizing charts I can find online seem to indicate it may be too generous in the waist for me. I'll just have to wait and see I guess! If anyone has tried one of these Eliza J dresses I'd love to hear about the fit.

I have an Eliza J gown, but it isn't styled the same way. Mine has a halter neckline and a set-in waist.

Yes, I think my dress is TTS. I rarely experience fit problems, though. You never know. I recently bought several Maggy London wrap dresses. All but one fit perfectly. I guess it happens once in a while.

You're welcome. I just go by the size chart and fit reviews when available. Like I said, it works most of the time, but once in a while a problem crops up.

BC, size charts really are helpful. I found several different ones for Eliza J, so that just added to my confusion. I also feel like I'm awkwardly in between sizes in a lot of brands. ideally I'd have ordered both my sizes, but the smaller one was sold out.

For tops and dresses, I primarily have to go by my bust measurement. For skirts and pants, I go by my hip measurement. That almost always works. Some brands can be tricky, though.

I've worn a number of Eliza J dresses, but the styles are very different than this one, i.e. they are fit and flares. They seem to fit true to size to me. You are going to want some ease over the waist in a style like this so you can sit down and breathe
