I've been very absent from the forum lately, but I'm hoping you'll accept me back into the fold! I've been lurking here and there, and I decided to give slouchy silk trousers a try after seeing you ladies sport them so fashionably. I tend to be a slow adopter, so I'm trying to be more open-minded about this new silhouette and at least give it a try.
The Leith trousers were ridiculously short on me, so I sent them back without posting any photos. These are the Eileen Fisher cuffed silk pants in XS (they run big...I'm usually a S). They look ok-ish with a drapey long top, but with a banded top/tucked look (photos #7-8)...not so much. It really doesn't flatter my midsection, and I feel dumpy with so much bunching there.
The fit is good, but I'm not sure. Maybe it's the elastic waist. I've learned that with new silhouettes/trends the key is find a version that really works for you and your style/shape. I resisted midi skirts at first, but when I found my VC midi skirt I was sold.
Opinions? They ain't cheap, so I want to be certain I'll actually wear them!
