I tried these on. The fit is perfect. Finding pants that are long enough is a challenge. These pants are navy (not black navy). They would be the first and only navy item in my entire wardrobe. Can I wear black accessories (shoes, purses) with navy? I do not want to feel like I have to buy new accessories to make the pants work.

Sigh. I might be settling because it is so hard to find pants that are full length. Any thoughts would be so welcome.

I don't think navy is settling! I've found navy and black very versatile together - it's a FFBO for me.

Hurrah for finding pants that fit!

I accessorize navy with black all the time so I hope it works! Personally, I like that combination best for cooler temperatures. Are these pants in a year round fabric? Will you be wearing them in warmer months? For summer you could try lightening things up with a color or even cognac, taupe or white as neutrals. Looking forward to seeing pictures.

Yes, I like black with navy! I think these pants would go with any of the shoes you posted in your non-hair-bookending shoe post. Keep! Perhaps another way to look at navy pants is to think about what you would wear with blue denim and see if those things might go. When I first started at my current (part-time, retail) job, where jeans are not allowed, one strategy for coming up with outfits was to get some navy pants so I could wear some of my favorite days-off combinations of tops, toppers, and footwear.

I like neutral colored shoes, and metallic, and red with navy best...but black will work too.

They are stunning! Navy and black has fast become a favourite combo for me. So no you don't need to buy a whole lot of new things to incorporate these I to your wardrobe. They should slot in nicely.

Yes...wear these with black or whatever...I have them in black and I wear them everywhere...even forgoing my preferred jeans...Glad they are long enough..That was my praise for them..long enough for my long legs...

I also love navy and black together, but I do tend to wear that combo in the winter more. I do find branching out into navy a bit challenging sometimes, for accessories, but I do it anyway. Last summer I found that silver sandals were my footwear answer. The Bella Vita sandals you posted in your other post might work??

I like those and would have considered them for the GPOP but needed wide leg or flare because one of my goals is always to cover my necessary gym shoes a bit. I'm glad they worked for you!

I have the same issue about navy, but over the past few years I've rejected quite a few tops I really liked because they were a navy background print and I thought they would look weird with black. I like solid navy and black together, but print navy with black seems less intentional and more clueless, to me at least. What I'm saying is...this may be the basis for you branching out into some more navy items! I am waiting to life test my new EF pants and if they pass I may be getting them in navy too!

I think footwear should work fine and would not pass up great-fitting pants. I've had the same issue as many items this year were offered only in navy. One pair of pants had black faux leather waistband which I thought helped.
Another thing you can consider is to add a touch of black elsewhere with accessories. Black in a necklace does a kind of bookending and is inexpensive to find something that can work; or a watch; also can use handbag trim or color blocking.

I mix black and navy or other dark blues a lot. I.e., a navy top, mixed scarf, black or navy trousers, and black heels or boots. i think it can be tricky so you'll have to do some closet playing.

Sigh. I am a bit concerned about adding in navy for the first time in my life. I really, really want to make them work without developing a whole new capsule. My fear is shoes. My entire shoe capsule is black, black, black. Oh, and I have a lot of black belts.
