I ordered the Eileen Fisher Asymmetrical Drape Front Organic Linen Jacket from Nordie's. For my budget, the jacket is quite overpriced for my budget, but I had read very positive reviews about EF's clothing and their company ethics, and was curious about the quality and fit.
I've been looking for something somewhat structured and made of linen, but have veered away from suit jackets because I rarely wear them. This jacket fits the bill in terms of aesthetics, fit and functionality. I sweat a lot in the awful humidity of the summer and need breathable, quick-drying garments that protect me from the sun, appeal to my sense of fashion, and are appropriate in conservative environments. I could see myself wearing this for years. The linen is so soft, and makes my J. Crew linen tees seem quite scratchy in comparison. I've been culling my wardrobe and have a 'less is more' approach, which, despite bumps along the way, has been the trend the past two years.
I'll be away for the summer, and need to decide within the next two days whether to keep it. The jacket is sized XS, if that makes a difference. I talked to CS and they said that they would do a price adjustment within 14 days, and if the price lowered afterward, I would need to return my jacket and repurchase it.
It seems that my options are a) keep the garment at full price and wear it; b) return it immediately; c) keep the garment but not wear it until I'm sure that it doesn't go on sale.
For those with experience shopping EF at Nordstrom's, does most of the collection eventually go on sale?
