Eileen Fisher coat- opinions please

After reading the Eileen Fisher post this coat caught my eye. My current raincoat is black and while serviceable, it's rather boring. What do you think of this one?:

It's good looking. But I'll note, the wind will whistle through that coat, with that collar.

Rachylou is right; I think that collar may be more high-maintenance than you want. We get some really windy days here in New England, and I can just see the collar flapping around. Also, it seems like it doesn't give much coverage in the front...I would freeze, but if you trend to hot, it might be OK for you.

Wow, on sale makes it even more tempting!
I like the goldish color; it would provide a nice contrast to all the dark I wear. I'm not overly concerned about being warm because I live in the south where winter is fairly short.

I wish I had Nordstrom nearby to try it. I miss that store

Free shipping and free returns, why not try it?

I've tried this coat on. Both the gold and the pink are great. But it looked kind of clownish on me (I'm 5' 4", on a good day). Are you tall?

Good question and no I am definitely NOT tall! I am shorter than you- only 5'1".
That collar might be too much for me.

I don't know if it comes in petites (I tried the regular) - it was past my knees.

Love it! is the colour suits, I would grab it. I have a peacoat kind of style with that collar and it always just smarterns everything up. And if it is cold you pull that collar up around a scarf etc...

I really like the look of it, espcially int he mustard. Given that you live in the south, I think it would work climate wise.

I would order it from Nordstrom (free shipping and returns) and give it a try.

I feel your pain. I wish there was a Nordstrom closer to me - closest one is over 3 hours away and that is without traffic. In Chicacgo, there is always traffic.

Yes, it comes in petite. Eileen Fisher is good for that.

It's beautiful but that collar would never keep me warm on a rainy day! You'll need a big scarf to keep your neck warm...
