Eileen Fisher and Pilling

I purchased the top shown below. I remember some members of YLF mentioned that Eileen Fisher tops pill if not made of natural fabrics. The top in question is made of rayon (which could pill of short fibers are used). Does anyone have any thoughts on the subject? Thanks.

I have another EF top in what I think is the same fabric, and have had no trouble with pilling. I bought it last fall and wore (and washed) it probably once a week till it was too warm for short sleeves.

I have several EF items made of that fabric, and I've had no problem. I love them, in fact. I wash on delicate with cold water and hang to dry. Hope you enjoy your top.

I haven't had any trouble with mine either. I wash on delicate and hand to dry.

I was the one who wrote the thread about my EF tunic pilling. No one else had the same problem so I think I just got a bad piece. Actually, I wondered whether the item was already pilled when I bought it and I just didn't notice. I bought it end of season so it could have been a customer return or been shop-worn.

I would buy another rayon EF top. I love her designs and am willing to try it again.

I bought this top a number of years ago and it pilled on me. I didn't turn it inside out when I washed it, so that was possibly the problem. I tend to avoid all rayon/high rayon knits due to their tendency to pill.
