Today I put effort into outfit selection. I have not “dressed up” since New Year’s Eve. Today we went to see our grandkids play basketball, and our daughter, SIL and the kids were taking us out to eat to a nice steak place for hubby’s 70th birthday.

I chose my nicest, dark, loose straight jeans, black patent leather lug sole loafers, dark gray floral print chiffon blouse with tie neck, shirred cuffs and waistline, and cool gray, dark blue and lilac print socks, which matched the blouse colors. I felt rather stylish and great for a celebration. The sweater actually looked nice, but was chosen for warmth as it was cold and windy today, after tornado storms yesterday. Fun.

We saw one of the two games, well, I did as hubby was on the phone with his brother and a nurse at his mom’s residence. Then we left before the second game, drove 1.5 hours because his mom went to hospital. So I sat in ER waiting area until 9:30 p.m., and when we got back home, I tidied up a guest room and sprayed and wiped down the bathroom for his brother to stay. I also started a load of laundry. MIL was admitted and will be there a few days.

Oh, we ate McDonalds burgers on the way to hospital in the car.
