Thanks for your replies! I picked these up at the Rack and will post pics later for your approval/amusement. These sandals are definitely different than what I would usually choose (which in my book makes them either edgy or granny simply by default.) The other issue is comfort which also narrows down the options. Crossing my fingers that these will work. Thanks again for all of your helpful comments. I really appreciate it!
@Una: LOL! Those Ejects are way too far out there for me. That is what I picture when I think of edgy though.
@Mandipa: I agree that the soft/twisting straps are what made me wonder if they were “sweet” rather than cool. The color helps and the overall style too, I think. I will definitely have to try them on and see if they work the way I want them to.
@Rae: Yes, I can’t for the life of me figure out how to translate rugged boots to sandals. I prefer neutrals for summer and they never look particularly edgy....
@Denise: You’re right, I didn’t mean sweet in terms of girly--I meant less conservative, I think. Honestly, I’m not sure what I’m aiming for except that I want to look less...stuffy? @teeandcee: Lol! You sound like you are traveling in my direction. I want to see where you end up!
