Edgy but Feminine?

So I really like the idea of adding a little "edginess" to my wardrobe, and I love this jacket - edgy moto, yet feminine with lace sleeves. While I was looking for a black moto, I am loving this blue.

Feminine and edgy too? I think that's me - or who I aspire to be fashion-wise. Pencil skirt proper teacher by day, moto jacket tattooed adventure girl by night (OK, weekend, and I need my sleep, so home by 11)!

What do you think? Is it edgy yet feminine, or too young for me, keep looking? Of course the model's around 20, that doesn't help...

Well, this seems very fashion forward considering the trend towards mixed media jackets. I think the lace and the colour makes it feminine ad the cut is defeintely edgy. Not too young! Try it.

I describe my favorite looks as feminine with an edge and am in my late forties... I love this jacket and would definitely wear this myself, so think since it attracted you that you should give it a go... I would add it to a pencil skirt and mix those versions of yourself!

I would definitely try it Karie. From what I've seen of your style in WIW posts, this would complement it well. The only thing is with the sleeves being lace, you would lose the warmth of sleeves. Not sure if this is an issue for you. As to the color, blue is very popular and softer than black but still versatile.

The sleeves being lace won't be an issue for spring/summer, Tina, but I do wonder how it will wash. Hand wash, for sure.

I think it looks really cool Karie. I recently bought a dark blue moto, and while I havn't had a chance to wear it yet [its still way too hot], I have tried it on and it works well with lots of colors and with black which I wear a lot.

It is both edgy and feminine, so it works well for what you want. I do wonder if the lace would be too delicate? You could also just go for a nice leather or fabric moto to give an edge to your existing feminine clothes. This one is a great color though, so it could be worth a try!

I looked at this one too (online) and think it is really cute - it is def. on trend. I wondered about catching the lace sleeves on something but I am a bit of a tomboy in my lifestyle. I think it would be a great mix of edgy and feminine. Macy's has it and has a generous return policy.

That's the main reason why I have been hesitating to purchase it, Texstyle. It's $80 on sale, and one catch of the sleeve on something and it's all over but the crying! The lace fabric is lined through the torso, but not in the sleeves.

I am thinking of going with Raisin's idea of a mixed media leather / fabric moto instead.

That is gorgeous but I would worry about damaging the sleeves.
