Why I only use biodegradable glitter:
There's no denying it... we all love a little bit of sparkle now and again and I must admit that for years now, I have been using plastic glitter without thinking about the consequences.
It wasn't until recently when it was all over the news that glitter was bad for the environment that I started to look for alternatives.
Apparently, most glitter is non-biodegradable and has been polluting our oceans. Fish think that glitter is food and eat it, which can kill them! This made me absolutely sick to my stomach.
I did a little bit of research and came across this article:
https://www.wishuponasparkle.c.....e-glitter/
it basically tells you about the alternatives to plastic glitter, which I think is really important. I think that next time I go to the shop and buy glitter, that I will definitely look into the alternatives.
There is new stuff that has been created, which is made out of cellulose, which to me sounds like it's going to be gloopy and gross.
But apparently, the cellulose is hard and only breaks down when it meets a microorganism.
I needed to share this information with my new-found fashion friends as I think it's super important to start making a conscious effort to get biodegradable glitter instead.
One a brighter note... I absolutely love seeing people's makeup looks, so would love you to all share your favourite images and takes!
