Eccentric Sack?

I just fell madly in love with this dress on-line

but I'm wondering 1. if it would work on my pear-shaped body and 2. if it's just too wacky

I love this style of dress and have several, and I am a petite pear. I think the colors are bold and beautiful for Spring, so my vote is to go for it!

I think it could work. This sort of cut doesn't work on hourglassy me because of my bust, and it must work on someone, right? That someone could be you!!!

I think this is a cute dress! I am an IT or goblet who wishes she had a little more padding in the hips to add curves to this type of cut. I see Maggy London and London Times dress labels often at my local Ross and Marshalls so you might consider nipping over somewhere like that if it is convenient to try a few of their other examples on IRL before you order it in this really terrific colorway. I don't have an idea of what you look like, but the dress is gorgeous, and I don't see why it couldn't work on a pear.

I like it! I think the yoke at the neckline and the vertical stripe will give it a nice effect on a pear. Go for it!

Ooh, I like it too! Reminds me of Pucci with those colors. I think the vertical line down the front could definitely be slimming and take it out of sack territory. I recently bought my first shift dress in over 15 years and had sack anxiety, too. I haven't worn it yet, but it did get approval here, so maybe just try it on and see what the consensus is!

I hadn't even noticed the vertical line! I do love this dress, but am now undecided about getting it because I discovered that the shipping costs are almost as much as the dress itself...

Lovely dress! I have discovered sack dresses last year and love them. The main thing is to keep the length above the knee and you are in business!
Too bad shipping costs too much. You can try to shop locally for a similar dress - I am sure you have a lot of options in fashionable Italy!
