I am not sure how many times I have said "My feet are not that fussy. I could do with non leather footwear. They are very comfortable...blah blah blah blah blah". After all how different can they be from leather footwear?

Well it turns out ... They ARE very different! I bought my first real leather ankle boots from Vagabond (on a steep sale and it was the last size left!) And my word .... Leather boots are buttery soft (this one atleast!) and when I put it on ... My feet squeeled with delight! The heel height is perfect for walking. And they are pointy toes too. Score! :).

So fabbers ..... From now on, I am a leather footwear convert Those extra few dollars ... Are worth every bit of comfort! And my feet will thank me 10 yrs from now or vice versa

Nothing like experiencing true comfort when it comes to shoes. You simply can no longer justify bad choices.

One of the best things I have learnt here is that comfortable shoe does not mean frumpy shoe.

I can wear either but I really do prefer and appreciate leather footwear. These look gorgeous.

I pretty much only wear leather boots and most of my shoes are leather as well (with some very rare exceptions). It breathes better and will stretch/mold better to fit to your foot over time (or at least the good quality ones do).

Also, I find the added expense is worth it not just for good foot health but because leather is a skin, over the years you can have it cleaned, moisturized, polished and repaired by a good shoe guy and the shoes/boots will last damned near forever if cared for --this isn't generally true for faux leather (or at least the cheaper-line shoe faux leather they make shoes from nowadays).

I have found that more expensive shoes/boots are worth it. These are beautiful boots , by the way.

Lovely booties! I agree on leather footwear. My most expensive booties have a high thin heel, but are amazing on the foot - one of my best shoes to wear, in fact!

Neel, those are beautiful! Like Leopardluxe, I find leather will stretch when needed and conform to the foot as well as breathing for foot comfort.

Those are gorgeous, Neel. And no arguing from me on the relative virtues of leather. I have never been able to wear non-leather shoes for all but the most limited of circumstances.

Congratulations! Those are beautiful! I totally agree on the leather! I find my feet just can't breathe in synthetic, and the shoes/boots start to smell (yuck!!!) - forget it!!!

My feet are fussy so leather shoes are most often what I gravitate to because they breathe and they mold to my feet. I do have a few pairs of synthetics for inexpensive, fun styles that I know I won't wear often but for shoes I know I'll wear a lot, or that I'll do a lot of walking in, it has to be leather.

And yes, I spend a bit more for real leather. I do have fussy feet, and they are old and cranky these days and not willing to put up with anything not comfy!!
