I’ve been thinking of adding some light neutrals and earth tones to my wardrobe this spring. Denim jackets are perfect for my casual lifestyle, so I ordered these two Liverpool jackets from Nordstrom to try. The blue and white denim jackets I currently own are either petite sizes or regular sizes with a cropped style, so these regular size non-cropped jackets were a bit of a gamble. I wrote up a review here in case others are interested, but I did notice just now (2/25 10am EST) that the Tamarind one is sold out at Nordstrom except in XS.

I have to say I’m impressed by the quality of the Liverpool brand. Hefty substantial fabric, nice details, seams finished well etc. They each cost around $100 US, which is more than I’ve paid in the past for a denim jacket, and they seem well worth it. The Panama Tan one has gold buttons. The “Tamarind” (rust/orange) is very close to the color of my Nutmeg coat, has bronze buttons, is a half an inch longer. Both have a little grommet-like detail on the back yoke. I ordered both in Large. I normally take 12P in jackets.

I’m on the fence about keeping. They both look just a little long, especially the Tamarind one. I do like to wear denim jackets over sweaters so I’m ok with the shoulders being just a bit “relaxed”. Maybe they look long to me because the light blue one I already own is so short (cropped). Both colors are great but I like the gold buttons so leaning toward the tan one.

I checked out their web site, and they do carry petite denim jackets, but only in blue (I have two already), and black (which I don’t want).

...and, as a lifelong and SERIOUS fan of the Beatles, I love the idea of having “Liverpool” stamped on my buttons, even if the company is in Los Angeles

Would love to hear your comments and ideas, do they fit well enough, which should I keep?
