Do you prefer wearing statement earrings or more subtle and minimalist designs? Why?

Subtle and minimalist for me(studs) as I now wear specs, lack contrast on my face and have thinning short hair.

I wear both but wear earrings every day. It just depends on my mood
my minimal are more expensive and a greater loss if lost. I have lost so many earrings wearing masks. My good earrings are waiting until mask wearing ends.

I used to be a maximalist all my life. Since I now wear specs more than contact lenses and my hair is natural silver I prefer minimalist studs.

Small; with long hair and glasses there is already a lot going on. Plus I don’t often go BoHo in style.

No earrings. I wear glasses, and my hair covers my ears anyway. Besides, I never had my ears pierced, and my one pair of gold clip-ons are tight because I worry too much about losing one, so they are painful to wear.

Something with silver, blue, turquoise in lightweight but not exactly minimalist. I don't like studs and prefer something a bit unusual - Lucky Brand was my fav for a long time ( like safety pin looking earrings that I have in three different styles ).

I mostly wear minimal earrings, often with pears. I do have a couple of statement earrings and actively looking for a dressy pair. But I only can wear bigger earrings in the warmer months when I don’t have to wear a hat.

Minimalist. And usually just the one. I have low contrast coloring, and bold earrings often read too jarring on me.

I have a very wide range from simple studs to a few long and bold ones. Most are somewhere in the middle.

I wouldn’t call mine either statement or minimalistic, the most important thing is to match them in colour to my outfit if possible. None of them are huge as my face is very small. If I can’t decide what to wear I revert to the small diamond studs my then fiancé (now husband for 36 years!) gave me for my 25th birthday! He was a keeper!

Something in between… if that makes any sense. I like hoop and chandelier type earrings as long as they’re not too big or chunky. I have sharp, angular features that suit delicate pieces better.
