DVF sizing and fit?

How does Diane von Furstenberg clothing fit? Would you say it is true to size? Would her clothing work for petites? I am particularly interested is items other than her famous wrap dresses.

Hmmmm...you are all confirming what I was guessing. I had the feeling her clothing might be suited more for the thinner gal.

Una - not looking at anything in particular. I just find many of her items beautiful and wondered if I could wear any of them that's all.

I tried this one on and almost bought it. My dress size varies based on cut and fabric, but I took an 8 in this and it fit me well. I just couldn't justify the purchase at the time. One of her dresses is on my wishlist for the spring/summer.

Not necessarily thinner but rectangle hourglass. I actually think the wraps suit a pear well.

Weird...I find she runs a bit on the big side of TTS, but ,maybe that is just because she does do sizes up to 14 so there is room to move up if a smaller size doesn't fit. I'm tall so maybe that is part of it. I'm a big fan of her current stuff, not much luck with vintage DVF.

I find her line tts to roomy for bottoms (skirts tts, old model Baby bis and Simca pants size down). Small for tops. I size up one or two to get a fit across shoulders in most dresses and blouses. And yet, I am rectangle with pear tendencies.

I only have wrap dresses from DVF, and size up one size. I have a small bust and waist, but somewhat muscular arms and bottom half.

Question: when you say size up, do you mean from where you measure on the DVF size chart?

I found the dresses small and short as well. If you're on the petite end, the shortness may be a flattering length on you, but on me, I couldn't figure why they were all sooo short.
