DVF black sheath. It's new but too old to return. Is it OK?

I bought this & never wore it because sometimes I worry about my tummy. I am allowing it to hang out in last photo so you can see it at it's worst. Also is the jacket too long to wear with it? TIA

ETA: Is the neck OK on me? Is the fit OK? The neck is grosgrain & isn't meant to sit flat. It is kinda stitched on a little gathered or something.

It looks fab from the front, and that's not a lot of tummy. Honestly I feel the same way about my gut but I'm far more focused on it than anyone else. Shapewear?

I saw a magnet the other day that said, "I wish I was as thin as I was when I thought I was fat." SO TRUE!

I could try shapewear or just standing straighter. I have a sway back & it follows the shape of my back. It goes away when I stand straight or suck it in but I never remember to do either.

I adore a classic black sheath! This looks perfect on you. You have a big arch in your back (so do I from many years of gymnastics) which causes the belly to pooch. Try shapewear, but by all means wear this beauty!

It's gorgeous from the front! As for the side view, some of that is just the way you are standing, I suspect. It is hard to contort yourself to take pics and also stand up straight at the same time.

I don't know if the jacket is too long. It depends on the look you want. It gives it almost a military vibe, or a no-nonsense take-charge kind of look. If you want to look very feminine and dressy, a different topper would be in order, it seems to me. That is just my personal take on things, and I don't know if others see it that way too.

Yes JR I think you're right. I said to hubby I feel like I'm wearing a uniform. If it were navy it would feel even more so. I don't know if you can see the detail but it is a military jacket. He wants me to wear it with a military kinda hat lol. The jacket has become an orphan which I will discuss in another post. A $500 orphan gift from hubby.

I looooove the jacket. I don't mind it with the dress, although to be more feminine a shorter lighter topper would be good. But that jacket is a stunner. Try it with jeans and boots!

I love the dress on you & think the jacket could work - imo you need to wear the right shoes/boots to get the proportion right.
