DV "Jamison" booties on sale

I've had these booties on my wishlist at Nordstrom since Angie posted a blog entry about them. The price just dropped. http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/dv.....origin=pla

I generally like the idea of short booties with a heel in a light or bright color (don't have any at the moment) but at the same time I am unsure about when and how to wear them. Would you wear them with skinny or straight leg jeans? Skirts? Bootcuts? If so, what color would be good? I guess I need to go back to re-read Angie's posts on wearing bright footwear. I am also confused by the fact that we've had this crazy warm spring so we are in sandal weather now whereas normally this would be the time of year to wear boots.

If I got these in taupe, say, would they work with cobalt straight leg jeans? Dresses? I also like the orange version but don't see it working for workwear.

I think they're even cheaper on 6pm.

Eta: woops! That's what I get for reading on my phone. The 6pm price is the same as the Nordstrom sale price.

Really cute boots! I love them in that taupe color. If this is the sale price, what was the regular price? It doesn't seem to be reflected on Nordie's website.

The regular price was $118. It is a bit strange - it does not show on the website but you can still see the original Nordstrom price when you google them.

Those are really cute! I would wear them with almost anything -- bootcuts, skinnies, straight legs. Skirts and dresses -- would depend on how they fit around your ankle. A nude/neutral color would be versatile and easier to wear with skirts and dresses, but the bright colors look really fun!

Lovely neutral colour - would go with anything and everything! Check out the reviews though - quite a few said it runs small and narrow.

Yes, they look like Report booties but the heel is 1/2" shorter, which is good for me.

Shannon, thanks, I also noticed some negative reviews about sizing and also the fact that Angie has suggested going up half a size in these, to take care of the sizing issues.

Now that I'm home from work I can type a more coherent thought.

I ordered the taupe ones from 6pm on Tuesday evening. I can post pics and comments on fit when they come.

In early fall I tried on the black pair. They were great, but I was needing a bootie that would fit with an ankle brace at that time so I had to pass. I really loved how they looked. They were great for dresses b/c they cut in slightly at the ankle in a very flattering way.

I live in a cool enough climate that I wear boots on some cooler summer days, so I'm expecting to wear these quite a bit through spring.

I've been lusting after these in the orange, teal or hot pink. I really can't justify it because probably could not wear to work, but they are soooo cute.

I have these in orange, Makrame, and I absolutely love them. I've worn them with skinnies, straight leg and bootcut jeans. The taupe would be an absolute workhorse pair of boots for you, if you decide to buy. For WIW, they run true to size, and for me, they are 8-hour boots.

That is my kind of shoe; I would wear them with absolutely everything except for flares where I think a platform looks better.
