I need to replace my house slippers and I'm looking for suggestions. I've tried the felted wool ones Angie recommended a few years ago (can't remember the name) but they slide off my feet.

I thought I'd found my Holy Grail slippers in the NukNuk brand sheepskin-lined ones from Costco. Although backless, they stayed on my feet even when walking up and down stairs. They had rubber soles, which I strongly prefer. They were soft and cozy because they were sheepskin-lined. Best of all, they were only $25! Unfortunately, they wore out inside in less than six months. The sheepskin lining disintegrated and so did the leather or whatever lining was beneath it.

Prior to this I had a more expensive soft-soled pair that lasted for about a year before they developed holes. I't recall the brand.

Is there something similar out there that will last for longer, or is this typical for slippers? I do wear them for several hours a day, every day.
