duplicating my specs? Is this a dumb idea?

Rivet and Sway has a Saint Patty's day deal on all their green specs this weekend. This reminded me that my specs (which I have in black) also come in tortoise w/acid green backing. Do you think it is a dumb idea to get the same specs in a different colorway? I have wanted tortoise ones for a while.

Also, while I know tortoise is great for me, would the acid green work on my face? I mean, I wear this color but not right on my face, know what I mean?

ETA: I can't order them for try-on first if I want the discount since it only goes until sunday. Obviously I know the frames will fit and the shape suits me. They are returnable, although I always feel bad about returning custom Rx items.

I think it's a terrific idea if you love the specs; I have the same pair in brown, grey and purple.

I think the acid green is fun and it's not the WHOLE FRAME, you know?

I don't think that is silly at all! I think if you know the shape and style works, having them in another colour is brilliant.

Another vote yay here! I have duplicated eyeglass frames in a different color, too. I think the tortoise will look great on you, since it's a dark shade that looks like it goes with with your hair. And if you wear that green already, it will be fine, too. As lyn* points out, it's an accent color, not the whole frame.
