So I recently got this colorblocked French Connection sweater — it’s an unusual pick for me because a lot of turtlenecks simply don’t work for me. The neck is too tight or too floppy, itchy, too low, etc. Or the fit is not right — a high neck plus a very fitted sweater can really enlarge a bustline that needs no further enlargement, haha!

But I got this sweater in the navy/grey/tobacco colorway and it became a new favorite. It’s lightweight enough and loose enough that it’s not overly warm, but a Heattech layer underneath makes it very wearable for a cold day. The slightly oversized but slightly cropped length, with the side vents, make it very wearable for me!

Well, I spied the other colorways on further sale (weirdly, the price seems to have gone back up a bit on the Nordstrom site), and was tempted by the bright pink/orange version, surprisingly enough. I tried it on for my husband today and even though it’s a much bolder color choice than I normally wear, he likes it. I’m not wearing a lick of makeup here, so this is probably not the best photo opp for color flattery’s sake, but here it is. The light is a little weird today anyway because it’s very overcast. But you get the idea — it would certainly look better with a bit of makeup! I welcome your feedback but I’m pretty sure I’ll keep it. I’m thinking it’s an easy pairing with blue denim and one of my booties in the tan/tobacco color family.
