Duplicating a winter coat - does that make sense?

Honestly I would be more inclined to have the existing one cleaned if it starts looking dirty. I have never worn out a winter coat, and mine get heavy use. I think if you live in a colder climate and wear a winter coat every day, you will appreciate having a bit of variety more than two of the same.

AG -- is the coat a classic look that you will want to wear for multiple winters? If so, you may end up kicking yourself if you don't duplicate it at that price. If it's more trendy, it probably doesn't make sense to have two, unless they are very different colors.

If I were you, I would put that money toward a different sort of coat. For example, if the one you bought is casual, you might need a dressier coat, and vice versa. If it's long, how about a shorter style. I think you'll have more versatility that way.
