Duplicate bag for summer?

I've loved my Foley and Corinna Lady bag for fall/winter so much that I'm considering duplicating it for summer in canvas. I love soft (vs. structured) bags and this one is the perfect size and can be carried as a shoulder, crossbody, or handbag.

Here are some photos of the new canvas version and my current leather version. I'm loving the cream canvas and tan leather of the new bag. The only thing I'm not sure about are the gold accents. It's subtle, but it's still a lot of sparkle for a day bag (at least for me!).

Thoughts? I do really love this bag and know it works well for my lifestyle.

If I could duplicate my bag in a different color for summer, I would do it! I LOVE my bag, but it's too dark for summer.

It sounds as if you really love it, Nancy. Why not duplicate if these tones work well for your spring/ summer wardrobe?

I say that when you have found a bag that works for your lifestyle, it is absolutely worth it. And I don't think the metallic accents on the canvas bag are "too" anything; it looks like a fabulous, crisp, spring/summer bag!

It looks like the shiny gold is limited to the centerpiece between the handles, and also the tassles, am I right? I would also be somewhat sensitive to gold initially, but I have to tell you that I bought a completely metallic Coach bag and it changed me. It works really well as a neutral. To me, that is not too much sparkle at all, and I really like how it is balanced by the very plain neutral canvas.
I think duplication sounds like a good idea!

I think it's a great idea in this case. I've been thinking about getting a big like that from Foley and Corinna. Would you recommend the leather or the canvas?

I agree that if the size, shape, and strap works for you, you should definitely get duplicates.

Yes to duplicate. Both versions of this bag are great. I love metallics, especially gold, so the Spring version looks great to me.

Thanks, all! I was thinking you might be supportive of this duplication. I've found that some items are worth duplicating (jeans, bathing suits, tees….and now, for the first time, bags!)

Suz, the warm tan on this bag is the perfect bookending color for a lot of my spring/summer footwear, so I think it will work well with my wardrobe.

Viva, you are observant. The gold is limited to the tassel and centerpiece. Thanks for sharing your own experience with a metallic bag! I think I might just have to get used to the gold a little before I start seeing as a neutral. The rest of the bag is very neutral, as you said, so it works.

K, I have loved this F&C bag. The Lady City is just right sizewise (the Mid-City was huge!). The leather one has softened over the past 6-8 months, which makes it even nicer in my opinion. I'm not sure how the canvas would soften over time. Perhaps not as much? I'm sure the white is going to get dirty…but that's my experience with all light/summer bags. They do make this bag in lighter colored leather if you don't feel like going for canvas:
