They're cute, but for almost $400 and they have to be dry cleaned, couldn't/wouldn't do it

Not quite sure why these ened to be dry cleaned. At 90% denim with a bit of polyester and elasatine thrown in, the only thing I can think of is that they used some type of thread that won't allow them to be washed. Or they are calling them dry clean only because they are $400 and it might look less high end deisgner if they were machine wash.

Since when do we have to dry clean denim? With holes in the knees?

Label laws are fun.
"Dry Clean" = Dry clean recommended
"Dry Clean only" = testing proves that any other cleaning method will damage the item.

Therefore, when you see simply "Dry Clean" it usually means that the company didn't do the testing to determine the best cleaning method. You should be able to wash these overalls like you would any other stretch denim.

I find these sites label everything dry clean! I hate that...I wouldn't dry clean them. I may start with hand washing, but they look washable to me. Maybe lay them to dry to be safe.

I bought a polyester scarf and later saw the label read "do not wash". Things just be wrong.
