The minute I saw those pics of Rae in her secret agent, Brooks Brothers trench, I was on the phone to my local stores! I had walked right past them more than once, thinking they would be too staid even for me, but Rae had done her homework and was reaping the results. I wanted in!! And I came home with this one!
I realize I'm not built anything like Rae nor Claire nor Elle, so this is what the trench looks like on a 5'5" quite ripe pear Still, I had to try it with the black boots -- as homage to Rae . . .
I have my interview suit jacket underneath, but the trench's lining is taken out. I did not tighten the waist, just looped the belt. In some of the pics, I tucked the sleeve length under, and in some I forgot.
What say all your expert eyes about the sizing?
I fully intend to keep this in some size. Rae was spot on about the quality, and Claire was spot on about the classic longevity, and Elle has confirmed that this is a worthy competitor to some Burberrys.
