I have been looking for a pair of heavier-weight near-100% cotton pants with flocking for a while now. I was very excited to find these from Forever21:

However, yours truly did not read the item description carefully (or apparently look at all the pictures), and I did not realize that there were zippers on the ankles. I have said pair of pants on right now, and they fit great and feel great--just what I wanted. However, I was hoping to be able to use them for dressier occasions. Do the ankle zippers make the pants unsuitable for dressier occasions? I am 40 if that makes any difference, though I do look young for my age. But I don't want to look like a teeny-bopper either.
