Tanya, thank you for the feedback and suggestion! I also like the black top tucked. It looks more polished, I think.
Last night I ordered these sling backs in silver. I need something comfortable and versatile, and I’m really hoping they work out! I do think I will be able to wear them in many ways beyond this one-week trip and feel they can adapt to dressing up or something a bit more casual. Now I want a silver crossbody or clutch, but I don’t want anything that’s conventional “evening bag” style.

LJP, I like the pink, too, even though it’s not conventionally flattering due to its super cropped length. And I know many would not pair it with black, either!
Angie, I just remembered that I already have a large, warm scarf that is kind of like a ruana with this pink, black, turquoise, small bits of yellow and some white in it. So that’s getting packed. Why buy something else new? It’s fun to post again. This trip is the first time I’ve really had to think much about dressing in awhile, and I have missed it so much. I’ve had enough comfy sweat pants to last a lifetime. Have spent a lot of time shopping and adding some new things lately. I hope I made good selections. I’m rusty, so the photos and forum comments help a lot!
Irina, purple is such a fun idea!
Slim cat, thank you for the comment. I’m learning and experimenting with long hair after 30 years of wearing it short!
Jenni NZ, I like black, too. Still a favorite, but I’ve been buying lots of color lately, since my best summery colors (greens, blues, pinks) are trending.
Cardiff girl, I’m definitely taking the pink with me.
Suz, I appreciate your lovely comment.
Bijou, I like navy and black together, but you are so right. They are too close!
April, I’m still deciding if I am going for efficiency or variety in my outfit selection. I usually choose efficiency, but I might change it up this trip so I can have a bit more fun with fashion.
Salt-sea, I’m considering some dangly pearls! Thank you.
Sharan, Yes to different earrings!
Sal, I love your sandals, and comfort is key, isn’t it?
