You all gave me some excellent suggestions on my dressy capsule, and many of them involved ADDing stuff: big jewelry, bold textures, etc. So today I stopped at H&M and bought several things that seemed good for layering or adding detail to the basics that I had.
Progress, I think! These outfits are looking much more interesting than the ones I came up with last week. (And warmer too)
Below: black lace dress with a sheer lacy skirt added underneath (pic 2) and then a sparkly cropped sweater over the dress (pic1). Blue suede dress layered over a sparkly blue sweater (3). Black jumpsuit layered over a jewel-neck blouse (4). Tried to up the contrast for visuals but it was awfully dark today.
