Years ago I borrowed this book from the library .
Even though the pictures will be dated, I remember it as being very helpful in figuring out what will look best on different kinds of larger body types.
Even though aimed at larger women, I remember I thought it was still useful for thinner women because she explained how to go about the process so well.... and the photos, though out of date, I think are of larger women. The reviews from Amazon seemed to confirm my memory.

Having worked in the retail clothing industry in sales to larger women, I have found Mary Duffy's book an invaluable resource. The information it contains is so accurate that finding clothing for any figure type is a breeze! Her experience in the inudustry as a model has given her excellent qualifications to write such a manual, and her lighthearted and honest treatment is refreshing to read. I've learned so much from this book and I highly recommend it to EVERY woman, regardless of size! Though it's geared to size 14+, it holds a treasure-trove of information including beauty tips and even how to find the right eye glasses for your face shape!

I use the information in this book all the time, but do not lend it out because of the pictures. Unfortunately the photos are very dated, c1987! Great graphic images of clothing styles and body types and how/why they work together. Great deal, if you buy it used. I think my copy was a penny plus shipping. I'm still waiting for a book like this one with updated photos. Mary Ann
