When our local art museum opened, the first exhibit was Frida Kahlo. I must have gone eight or ten times. I just loved her art so much. Thank you for sharing this.

Ophelia, while I agree, I always wonder whether some artists create despite the adversity or because of the adversity. If it is the latter, while I would still never wish anyone pain, the world would have missed out on her creativity had she not experienced the things she did. Either way, though, I find her inspiring.
Our favorite exican restaurant was named after Frida. I hope it serviced the pandemic. I learned to appreciate the flavor of corn fungus at this restaurant.
Frida had a unique style that came from both her imagination and her Mexican heritage. I like when people have their own unique styles that are inspired by their culture. To dress "like Frida," one only has to present themselves truthfully and unapologetically - because that's exactly what she did <3
