Hang in there! Your dilemma was mine this time last year, and by the end of the summer I'd found what I wanted and needed by expanding where I was willing to look.

Standbys like Boden and Anthro are less attractive to me today than before. Hard for me to pinpoint why. (Age? Change in quality? Change in taste?) Less familiar (to me) shops like Ralph Lauren and Ann Taylor are feeling attractive.

I hope you're able to enjoy the search and I wish you good luck.

I love that we have varying requirements. I avoid sleeveless and breezy because I run so cold; I have a few tops that can fill that need. But have you ever tried to find a SLEEVED casual dress that actually fit and flattered? I actually did towards the end of last season so I’m actually set for this year. I just wish that all dresses with ease over the hips came with pockets. And for me, a good memory to check them for tissues before I stuck them in the wash.

All the suggestions are great — even when the specific item isn’t right for me, it often leads me to explore a retail stone I had not yet turned.

DonnaF, I can’t lie — the inclusion of pockets on a dress that fits and flatters me is a big bonus. It’s rare for me to find good pockets — I’m wide in the hip and many pockets draw more volume and attention to an area where I want less!

Angie, will you do a dress collection soon please!

I know I always suggest Seasalt Cornwall but their dresses are really fabulous.

The Belle dress is lovely. I own it in a floral and always get compliments when wearing it. All cotton, lined, can wear a bra with it.

this one looks interesting:https://www.seasaltcornwall.co.....neck-dress

anyway, they have a lot of great dresses. Natural fibers, well cut.
