I mentioned in previous forums that I only really wear narrow silhouettes and am most comfortable and feel best in the "long over (tailored) lean" look and the tailored sheath dress (usually with a blazer) look. Lately, I've been finding a lot of dresses that I really want to wear (most of them are made of ponte knit) but am not sure if I can justify purchasing them due to the harsher winters. I live in Toronto, Canada so winters here can be quite cold. I also travel by public transportation and walk usually for less than 15 mins outside.
A while back, I've purchased some fleece tights and I've been able to wear them at -5 degree celsius. I haven't tried wearing them in lower temperatures than that, but I can imagine that possibly doubling the tights up with leggings and wearing talk boots (with double layer socks) underneath will help.
Any people from colder climates try wearing skirts/dresses during the winter months before? If so - how did you stay warm?
