I went to Nordstrom's Rack over the weekend and bought two dresses. One I love. One after getting it home I'm not sure of. Please give your honest opinions.

Tried with leggings.

Does anyone else's husband think it's wierd that we post our outfits on the internet.

i like the first one but the second one isn't as flattering as it could be. i personally find such type of clothing, with the ribbing, very hard to pull off...since i feel that the ribbing stretches over my chest and tummy and hips...but the blue dress is great on you!

I like the first, but the second isn't quite working for me. I think I'd like it better if the seam hit below the bust, if that makes sense.
My husband doesn't think it's weird that I post outfits. In fact he's thankful for YLF because it gets him out of the hot seat. I don't ask him to critique my looks much anymore. He's relieved!
I also see that y'all are football fans. Football is on nearly all weekend at our house! Football season is my favorite season.

The frist one I love but the second one not so much. I like in the store but definitely not when I got it home. It didn't seem to fit as well or maybe I wasn't looking hard enough at it.

Agreed, #1 is nice, #2 isn't shapely enough.

My husband used to tease me for posting photos, but then I reminded him he belongs to FISHING forums. So the teasing goes both ways!

I'm with the others on the dresses. My husband objects vehemently to the idea of posting pics on the internet which is why I cover my face. I guess it's a GenX/Baby Boomer thing because certainly no one in GenY seems to think twice about it.

Oh, Debbie. You are just adorable. I love how you’re getting so into this and posting pictures. Please don’t let my comment discourage you, but I have to do my job.

I’m going to say nay to both frocks, even the first one (I’m sorry!) The poufy sleeve on style #1 is juvenile-looking and you’d do better trying to create a more sophisticated look. If that frock had an elbow length sleeve, you’d be in business. #2 is not all that flattering as the other ladies have mentioned.

Does that make sense?

The color on the first dress for you looks great in my opinion. But yes, you could probably find better fit-wise out there for the same price.

My boyfriend teases me about posting pictures, but being part of Gen Y as Shana put it (at least I think I'm Gen Y? XD) posting pictures online has become so commonplace that a lot of the perceived hazard of it has faded into obscurity. But if you're going to post pictures of yourself anywhere on the internet, YLF is definitely the place to do it! ^_^
