I took the helpful feedback from my earlier thread and added a few things to come up with an attempt at my goal style (unfortunately, I don't own any metallic wedge sandals or gladiators, but those were great suggestions):

-Chic
-Modern
-Unique

How did I do with the update? Btw, I'm laughing in the photo because my boys were sliding down the stairs while I was trying to take the picture...ignore the goofy look

Lovely! I think you nailed chic, modern and unique and more, but your beautiful smile is what I see first.

Dani, I think you hit all three goals. I'm amazed at how changing your necklace from red to teal brings out such a very different hue in the yellow cardigan. I don't think I've seen that color combination very many times, so you nailed "unique" in my book for sure! I also love how this outfit still incorporates the "cheery/colorful" part of your original style. Thanks for showing us a great example of moving from "current" to "goal" style - I'll have to get cracking on mine!

This is fun to see your adjustments! Definitely chic and modern ... great silhouette and proportions. I think that the orange shoes paired with the yellow gives it a unique factor, which I love. And the turquoise necklace makes it pop. This reminds me of the academichic ladies and their color wheel lessons.

Ooooh, great job! I also did some reworking of my challenge, but with entirely different clothes. I like that you kept the basics and still made it happen.

The turquoise and the yellow is a great combo!

Great job Dani! I agree with the others: the different top and necklace make a big difference. Accessories can really change an entire outfit (I'm still learning this).

By the way: I'd really love to see you in a cascading cardigan too, you'll rock that look!-)

Wow Dani, that necklace is so different and at the same time so in line with your style that for me with that necklace you really nailed down the unique part. I think you were already there with modern and chic.

Love the yellow and turquoise (and I covet the necklace!) And the pop of orange shoe is an unexpected touch. Very modern and unique.

I second Inge on the cascading cardigans--I think that look might be right up your alley, and in line with your fashion goals.

Much more of a chic look, I do think it is the necklace. There is a grace about how the top, cardigan and necklace work together that takes it out of the sporty realm. Beautiful smile!!! The colors are both unique and modern!!

Thanks to Kristen for issuing this challenge, it was fun. And thanks to all of you for your suggestions. They were inspiring! I will definitely be on the lookout for a cascading cardigan for the fall. I saw some at BR that peeked my interest...I'll have to wait until the dust from my NAS damage settles a bit
