I tried on this striped dress at Anthro — it’s so cute! But it’s weirdly small across the shoulder and upper back. Sizing up makes the bodice sit too low and there is too much fabric in the hips (which is NEVER a problem for me, LOL). The SA said that everyone who has tried this dress has had the same problem. What a shame!

I did buy a summer dress last week though — stock photo in pic 3. Tommy Hilfiger at Macy’s. You can see it behind me in the fitting room since I wore it the other day. I brought it home, and hubs liked it a lot so I deemed it a keeper. I wear it casually, but it could easily dress up a bit with heels and jewelry. It’s another tropical floral, which I like well enough, but I’d really love to find something in a pretty solid or stripe. Not black, not dark blue. But this is flattering and easy to wear. I wore it with a denim jacket in the morning and removed the jacket as the day warmed up. Forgot to take an outfit pic, sorry!

We are reaching summer temps here now, so it’s my prime dress season. I do have trouble finding ones that meet my requirements (length, light fabrication, wearable with a real bra, good color) that have a bit of edge. I’m thinking I need to inject more edge with my footwear. Also wondering if I need to consider more edge as I evolve my hairstyle. I fear the grey has taken some of that away.

ETA: the silver sandals are new. I decided to add back in some silver to my summer sandal collection, after letting some go over the last few years. They are Cole Haan and quite comfortable. Probably not as edgy as I should be adding, LOL. But very wearable for my casual life.
